The North Gold Coast Seahawks have announced that Carly Remmos will play in the 2023 NBL1 season after a stint away from basketball playing in the AFLW with the Geelong Cats.
The highly touted junior was the 39th pick in the 2020 AFLW draft after having been part of the Geelong Supercats in the NBL1 South in 2021 -- playing seven games for the club.
Coach Brad Kann is excited to have her part of his group this year.
“Carly brings athleticism and a high level of competitiveness,” he said.
“Which will allow us to set the tone at the defensive end of the floor”.
Remmos is looking forward to the Gold Coast lifestyle and will join her family on the Gold Coast, rejoining her brother and connecting back with basketball.
“It’s been awesome getting back to playing basketball,” she said.
“I’ve missed the technical part of the game so it’s great to get back to playing at a high level. The girls are all amazing and I can’t wait to start the season with them all”.
The NBL1 North starts March 24, see the full fixture here.
