WNBL rising star Ashlee Hannan has signed with the Bendigo Braves for the 2025 NBL1 South season.
Spending the past two seasons with the East’s Albury-Wodonga Bandits, Hannan has transformed into a dominant two-way threat averaging 11.1 points and a league-high 2.8 blocks last season.
Learning from Lauren Jackson and Unique Thompson, Hannan was one of the Bandits' most important pieces in their 20-0 regular season run.
Currently playing for the Bendigo Spirit in the WNBL, Hannan will stay in regional Victoria for the winter – joining a new-look Braves team led by head coach Deanna Black.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Ash to the Lady Braves. Her size, athleticism and versatility is a huge asset to our team and with her length it will enable us to play a very dynamic style of game,” Black said.
“She is an active defender who is disruptive around the rim and offensively can stretch the floor as well as attack the basket. Ash will be integral to our success and is the exact calibre of not only player but person that we know will positively contribute to our squad.
"She is currently a member of the Bendigo Spirit and is another fantastic signing for us that reflects the connection that we are building between the Spirit and the Lady Braves. We expect big things from Ash, who we believe has the talent and ability to be a key contributor for us this season.”
Hannan joins NBL1 Central MVP Cassey Samuels and National Champion Cassidy McLean on the 2025 roster.
