Andrew Gaze says Wilson Amos will be a prominent part of the Melbourne Tigers roster for 2025.
After a productive Youth League season, Amos was set to join the NBL1 roster for 2024. However, he broke his wrist before the season, meaning he could only play a single game this past season.
The recent exhibition tour gave him the perfect opportunity to get back on the floor and he made the most of it. Leading the bench unit, Amos went ballistic – scoring a team-high 28 points with three assists and steals in a close loss.
“We’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of Wilson’s development for quite a number of years,” Gaze said.
“To us, it’s been a natural progression. He was a big part of our Youth League team last season… He’s going to be an important part of our roster, and if he keeps playing like he did today then he’s going to be playing a lot.”
With the praise of Australia’s great, can Amos be a breakout player for the Tigers in 2025 alongside Ellis Biggar and Tom Wilson?
