Diamond Valley Eagles have announced the return of club junior Carly Turner for the upcoming NBL1 South 2024 season.
Carly's journey is adorned with numerous notable accomplishments, including her standout performance at St. Mary's, recognition as an All-West Coast Conference Honourable Mention, and WCC All-Academic Honourable Mention.
Head Coach Dee Butler expressed her excitement, stating,
“it’s so special to have Carly return to DV and I know she will be a sentimental favourite for our Eagles family. Carly is such a quality person with high grit and excellent basketball IQ.”
Dee further emphasized Carly's role in enhancing team culture, adding,
“we are thrilled to have her bring her leadership and experience to our group. We are already impressed with Carly’s commitment and professionalism and feel very grateful that we can share this amazing feat with her as she returns to the court for the first time since becoming a Mum late last year.”
Carly, reaffirming her dedication to the team, shared her enthusiasm, saying,
“to be returning to Diamond Valley, my home club, and to be surrounded by old friends and also have my family close by. The team has been so welcoming and have built up a really impressive culture over the past few years, I am loving being a part of it and can’t wait to see what we are capable of this season.”
