Casey Samuels has won the Halls Medal (Women’s MVP) for the 2024 NBL1 Central season.

Last playing with the Central Districts Lions in the 2021 season, Samuels has made a triumphant return to the club.
In 2023, the Lions finished last on the ladder with a 1-17 record. They finished the 2024 regular season with a 14-4 record and have already advanced to the Semi Finals in Saturday night's win over Forestville.
Averaging 22.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the Lions, the captain has been the driving force of their success this season.
