After 17 incredible years and 370 games, Hawks legend Shaun Clarke has announced this week that he will be calling time on his career at the end of this season.
Clarke has been the Hawks "man in middle" since coming through the Hawks junior program in the early 2000's.
He made his senior debut in 2006 playing youth league and also Big V championship. He headed to the USA and played College ball at Pensacola JC but when those commitments were completed he headed home to the Hawks.
Clarke has won 6 Championships, 5 Big V State Championships and one Youth Championship and personally has been awarded many individual awards. The thing was, he just never worried about the individual stuff, Clarke was always a team first guy. Shaun is a great player but an even better person.
The Hawks will honour Clarke this Wednesday night at their NBL1 game at Norwood College against the Waverley Falcons. All Hawks fans and players who played with Shauny along the journey are all welcome to come along and pay tribute to Shaun's contribution to our great Club.
