Katrina Clifford and Jessica Lorraway have signed to play for the Rockhampton Cyclones for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 North season and are looking forward to an exciting year with the team.
Clifford has been a long-time member of the group and believes that the group that the club is putting together is going to provide plenty of excitement for the home crowd in 2022.
Both players had an injury-interrupted season in 2021, with Clifford getting injured in a road game early in the season and Lorraway having surgery on both knees to be ready for the 2022 season.
Coach Drew Fenton said: "It’s great that Jess is back after doing some hard work in rehabilitation last season and we are looking forward to seeing her back on the court.
"In my short time here, I can see that she is a hard worker and wants to improve her game, so I am really looking forward to working with her throughout 2022.
"Kat is also getting back to full fitness after overcoming an injury during the season last year and I have been working hard to help her get back in preparation for the season ahead.
"Kat has been in the league a long time and adds great depth to the back court for the Cyclones and is known for her perimeter game."
Lorraway said: "I’m really excited to be back on the floor again in 2022.
"Last year was a tough one for me personally having to watch from the sideline but I am really happy with how my body is and I am getting back to full fitness each and every week.
"I’m looking forward to contributing in any way I can this year and looking forward a successful season for the Cyclones."
