The NBL1 South’s Dandenong Rangers have started their 2024 season hot, bringing in NBL1 South champion and club junior Mason Peatling plus NBL1 North star Tad Dufelmeier.
Peatling, the current Illawarra Hawk, spent last season with the Knox Raiders, where he averaged 9.6 points, seven rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as the starting centre of the championship team.
He returns to Dandenong where he played for the Rangers through juniors, the VYC program and in SEABL in 2015 and 2016.

Playing for Hobart in the 2019 and 2021 seasons, Dufelmeir moved up North to play with the Darwin Salties in 2022 and in his most recent stop with Cairns for the 2023 season.
Last season he averaged 21.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists for the Marlins, leading his team to the Finals in a first-round exit to the championship-winning Ipswich Force.

His spectacular season was rewarded with a spot on the NBL1 North second team, alongside NBL stars like Nathan Sobey, Jaylin Galloway and Shaun Bruce.
