Dandenong has announced that Darren Perry and Mason Rogers will be back on board in 2022, leading their NBL1 Ranger Men and Women respectively.
Perry's run as the head coach of our Senior Men is quickly becoming a legendary one filled with great games, great players and finals runs, something he and the team will have their eyes on next season.
"We had a young group last season that showed significant improvement in a short period of time," Perry said.
"We expect to be young again but now with some more experience at the NBL1 level.
"Our job is to work hard and play with great enthusiasm knowing we’re back on the court and headed towards a full season of NBL1 basketball in 2022."
Rogers is similarly excited to get some continuity back with the Rangers' Senior Women’s program next year.
Taking over from Lloyd Klaman due to personal reasons mid-way through 2021, Rogers did an outstanding job guiding Dandenong's women through COVID interruptions, college call-ups and injuries.
Now with a full preseason ahead to prepare his team, Rogers is ready and pumped up to lead Dandenong's Women in what should be a big year of NBL1 South action.
"It’s going to be really exciting to lead the Ranger Women next season and I’m thrilled that DBA have given me this opportunity," Rogers said.
"We’re looking at a number of exciting players to bring on board in 2022 that will make us really competitive in the NBL1 South league.
"Getting the chance to lead such a famous Women’s program is a great honour and I can’t wait to get preseason started ahead of a huge year of basketball."
