NBL1 Central wwas out of the equation this weekend as they had a bye. 

Check out each conference’s winners below:

NBL1 North

Rockhampton Cyclones: Samantha Bowman

The Cyclones’ forward Samantha Bowman had a massive double-double on Saturday in a 20-point win over the Darwin Salties.

Bowman recorded an even 22 points and 22 rebounds with additional two assists to add to her weekend of hooping.

North Gold Coast Seahawks: Kody Stattmann

NBL free agent Kody Stattmann heightened his free agency search with 30 points, five rebounds and four assists against the Townsville Heat on Saturday.

Stattmann, the top-scorer of the match, led his team to a nail-biting four-point win and a crucial win to break their three-game losing streak.

NBL1 East

Sydney Comets: Shyla Heal

In a 2-0 weekend for the Comets, Heal top-scored in both games, scoring 41 points in the first game, leading the Comets to a 91-85 win.

Heal’s overall average stat line for the weekend was 34 points, 7 rebounds and 4.5 assists.

Newcastle Falcons: Myles Cherry

Another 2-0 weekend for NBL1 East’s Player of the Week, as Myles Cherry’s shooting accuracy aided the Falcons in their winning weekend.

Cherry’s average stat line across the two games was 26 points, 18 rebounds and a 69.7 field goal shooting percentage.

NBL1 South

Launceston Tornadoes: Keely Froling

One of the front runners for the NBL1 South MVP race, Froling’s average stat line over the weekend was 30 points, 14.5 rebounds and 4 assists in the Tornadoes’ 1-1 record.

In their second game against the Sandringham Sabres, Froling dominated the offensive end of the court with a massive 39 points to seal an 84-79 win.

Casey Cavaliers: Sidy Djitte

Cavaliers’ centre Djitte was an efficient killer in Round 7, with a shooting percentage of 69.2 per cent from the field. He also recorded 21 points and 19 rebounds in the Cavs’ crucial eight-point win.

Djitte aided in a significant win on Saturday night to help Casey score their third win of the season.

Perry Lakes Hawks: Emma Clarke

NBL1 West stat-breaker Emma Clarke recorded a confident double-double on Saturday over the Eastern Suns.

In 30 minutes, Clarke dominated the court with 33 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists, leading the Hawks to an 82-64 win at home.

Geraldton Buccaneers: Liam Hunt

Buccaneers’ standout over the weekend, Liam Hunt assisted his team to a one-point win in the 2022 Grand Final rematch against the Rockingham Flames. 

Hunt recorded 26 points, 13 rebounds and three crucial steals to get bragging rights back from the Flames at home.
