Geelong United Supercats star DeMarcus Gatlin has re-signed for the 2024 NBL1 South season.
The 2019 NBL1 South MVP has played for the Supercats since 2016, Gatlin is the first player to put pen to paper for the club this offseason.
After finishing 11th on the ladder, he told the Supercats that missing the Finals left a bitter taste in his mouth.
“I definitely didn’t want to leave Geelong not reaching the playoffs,” Gatlin said.
“From a personal standpoint, I want to prove that I can return to playing at my 2019 level.
We proved at times during the 2023 season that our best basketball was as good as anyone in the competition. However, we need to find consistency with our effort, both on and off the floor.”
NBL1 South Defensive Player of the Year Finalist averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 and 4.8 assists for the Supercats last season.
