Multiple NBL1 stars from across the country are in Singapore representing Australia in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup. With both the women’s and men’s teams advancing to the Quarter-Finals.

Australia men’s
The men’s Gangurrus featuring Albury-Wodonga Bandits signing Will Hickey and Mackay local Todd Blanchfield have dominated the qualifying draw. Only allowing Tahiti, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to score five, six and seven points respectively.
The runners-up from the 2023 Asia Cup continued their wins in Pool C, as Australia was able to defeat Japan and the Philippines. Against Japan, Will Hickey scored six points with seven rebounds while against the Philippines, Todd Blacnhfield scored a game-high 13 points.

The men’s team advance to the Quarter-Finals, where they’ll take on China who finished fourth in last year’s Asia Cup.
The game will take place at 5:15pm AEDT, with the Semi-Finals, third-placed game and Final all taking place tonight via Kayo Sports.
Australia women’s
The women’s Gangurrus featuring North Adelaide Rockets star Lauren Mansfield and Perth Redbacks signing Anneli Maley have been even more dominant.
The reigning champions took care of New Zealand and India in Pool D. With a collective effort of all four players scoring four points or more against India and Mansfield putting up a game-high seven points against New Zealand.
They advance to take on Thailand in the Quarter-Finals from 2:25pm AEDT, with the Semi-Finals, third-placed game and Final all taking place tonight via Kayo Sports.
