The Inner West Bulls have made their first NBL1 East appointments, unveiling Daniel Kim as their men's head coach and Donna Garcia as their women's head coach.
Kim is coming off winning the Basketball NSW Youth League Coach of the Year in 2020.
He also has experience as the head coach of Barker College Firsts and the Director of Coaching at AUSA Hoops.
At the elite level, Kim has worked with the Sydney Kings, Sydney Flames, Illawarra Hawks, Kenyan National Team, Scotland Basketball and Kaohsiung Steelers.
He said he was looking forward to entering NBL1 East with the Bulls.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to build a winning culture that will buy in and engage with our Inner West community, along with competing against the best competition in NSW," he said.
"I'm truly excited about the direction the club has been heading in over the years.
"There's a clear sense of family and respect across the board which makes me feel at home."
Having played in the WNBL, SEABL, ABA and CBA competitions, as well as representing NSW, Garcia knows what it takes to success at the highest level, and now brings that same entry, commitment and focus to coaching.
Fresh from leading Inner West's Youth League Men on a successful campaign, which saw them undefeated to take out the Championship in 2021, Garcia now embarks on a new challenge, taking the helm of our women’s program.
She is looking forward to beginning her tenure as an NBL1 East coach.
"I am excited to begin a new era of Women's basketball at the Bulls," she said.
"We are building a team on the court that we are proud of, and off the court, that have a connection to all junior women and girls at the Bulls.
"I want our players to set an imprint on the program, work hard towards their goals and achieve them."
