The Kilsyth Cobras have made a major addition, bringing in collegiate star Lauren Gustin to bolster their line-up for the 2025 NBL1 South season.
The 6’1” forward had an outstanding career with the BYU Cougars, finishing ranking fourth all-time in rebounds in NCAA women’s basketball history, a four-time All-Conference First Team member and was named West Coast Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Averaging 16.7 points, 15.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in her final season, Guston should make an immediate impact on the Cobras roster.
Upon the signing, head coach Mark Watkins explained his excitement for the American star.
"I am very excited to have Lauren Gustin play for us in 2025,” he said.
“Lauren will help the team with her rebounding and inside presence. Her leadership and experience from the NCAA where she had an outstanding career makes her a very valuable pick up the club. I am looking forward to working with her this season.”
The NBL1 South starts on March 29th. Stay up-to-date with all the latest signings via the Roster Tracker here.
