NBL1 North rising star Kobe McDowell-White will join the NBL’s Illawarra Hawks as a development player for the rest of the NBL25 season.
Coming off a breakout season with the Sunshine Coast Phoenix, McDowell-White hit the radars of NBL teams due to his impressive playmaking and athleticism at only 20 years old.
Last season he averaged 15.6 points, 6.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds for the Phoenix, who were within the Finals race until the very end – finishing with a 7-10 record.
He joins NBL1 North champions Luca Yates, Todd Blanchfield and NBL1 East All-Star Five member Will Hickey on the Hawks’ roster.
