After an enormous NBL1 Central season, Lachlan Olbrich has taken his game to the next level with the Illawarra Hawks in the NBL Blitz.
The NBL1 Central All-Star Five member and Grand Final MVP scored 20 points with three assists and two rebounds in 19 minutes in a win over the Brisbane Bullets.

Olbrich impressed scouts and analysts alike at the Blitz, with ESPN’s Olgun Uluc noting many NBA scouts were in attendance.
Lachlan Olbrich really helped himself in front of 25+ NBA teams worth of scouts. 20 points (8/10 FG) in 19 minutes. Showed good mobility for his size, some creation (3 AST), tough finishes through traffic/over Rocco, a catch-&-shoot 3. He’s auto-eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Athletic's Sam Vecenie describes him as “super impressive” in the win over Brisbane, while ESPN's Jonathan Givony said showed his skill level and versatility in an impressive manner.
The 19-year-old averaged 21 points with nine rebounds for the West Adelaide Bearcats this past season, putting up 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in the Grand Final against the Forestville Eagles.
