With the NBL's Illawarra Hawks hosting a pre-season game against the Shanghai Sharks last night, Yates' availability for the first two games of the National Finals was affected.
Heading into the Championship Game, the Hawks have cleared Yates to participate alongside his NBL1 North championship squad for the Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 National Finals Championship Game.
With a season average of 12 points and seven rebounds per game, his size will be a much-needed addition against the Knox Raiders.
