The Mandurah Magic are bringing in the new year with a bang, signing Christian Jurlina, Faith Jurlina, Grace Lawler, Molly Wicks and Sarah Allen for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
Christian and Faith are both established players in their own professional right.
Christian played two seasons for the Sydney Kings and Cairns Taipans and will be a reliable three-man for the Magic next year.
Faith also joined Christian in playing for Whitworth University in Washington.
Both Wicks and Lawler were part of Mandurah's squad in 2021 and returned to basketball after having some time off in the years prior.
Head Coach Vlad Alava was pleased to have both local juniors returning for 2022.
"Both Molly and Grace are local girls and they made some really positive strides last year after coming back from taking a break from the game," Alava said.
"They've got the right attitude and an upside that hopefully we can help them continue to work towards."
On Allen, the Magic coach was keen to see what the former Perth Redback guard would be bring to the group next season.
"Sarah has impressed everyone on the staff from the first day she stepped in the MARC and she's up for the challenge," Alava said.
"She adds to our guard depth and backs herself with the challenges associated with joining a team and proving your worth.
"I'm really looking forward to what she can do next year to help make us a better team."
