Myles Cherry and Megan Johnson will take flight for the Newcastle Falcons in the 2022 NBL1 East season.
Cherry returns to Newcastle after averaging 18.3 points at a league-best 64.2 percent from the field to go with 12 rebounds per game.
He was also named the Waratah League 1 Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the All Star Five.
Born and bred in Newcastle, Cherry played four years of NCAA Division 1 college basketball for Lafayette before returning to his home town last year.
After completing her US college career at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), Johnson averaged eight points, 8.7 boards and 2.5 steals per game in six appearances for Newcastle in 2021.
Averaaging 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in a 121-game career, Johnson was one of only four UTRGV women's basketball players and one of only 18 student athletes from her school named on the All-Western Athletic Conference Academic Honours List for 2019-20.
