NBL1 North champion Isaac White has made a major move, signing with the Rockingham Flames for the 2025 NBL1 West season.
After leading the Mackay Meteors to their second NBL1 North championship, the Brisbane Bullets guard has switched conferences – joining the powerhouse club under head coach Ryan Petrik.
White had an outstanding campaign in 2024, averaging 24.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists for the 15-2 Meteors – being named to the conference First-Team.
That momentum led into the NBL season, where he just made his first career start and scored a career-high 22 points in a win over the Adelaide 36ers.
Upon signing, White said he’s kept his eye on the conference for some time.
"I have been eyeing the NBL1 West for a while, and Rockingham is a club that I have only heard good things about,” he said.
“After building a relationship with coach Petrik, I saw Rockingham as a great fit, and a place I would be proud to represent. I believe in our club, and can't wait to chase a championship with this team."
While the National Championship winning coach added,
“We really wanted to improve our playmaking from 2024 for the NBL1 25 season, so it made sense to go and recruit one of the best guards in the country in Issac,” Petrik said,
“He’s an elite shooter who competes hard on both ends of the floor. And most importantly, he’s a high character guy who’s desperate to win another championship.”
