NBL1 NORTH WOMEN’S GRAND FINAL SERIES - LOGAN THUNDER V TOWNSVILLE FLAMES
The Logan Thunder went the entire regular season undefeated and have entered the grand final with a 21-game win streak. Led by superstar Mikaela Ruef who is averaging 19.5 points, 18 rebounds and six assists in the NBL1 North Finals.
The Thunder’s success has not been just off the back of Ruef however, in the Semi-Finals Ashley Taia had 29 points and the team is filled with talents such as Indiah Bowyer, Mikhaela Cann, Sigi Koizar and Chevannah Paalvast to name a few.
The reigning NBL1 North champions will face the dangerous trio of Steph Reid, Alanna Smith and Courtney Woods, coached by Shannon Seebohm. Since adding Opals star Smith, the Flames have looked like the only team who could truly compete with the Thunder – and now we’ll get to see if that really is the case.
Courtney Woods joined the Coles Express NBL1 Show this week to break down the match-up, you can watch the full interview here.
NBL1 NORTH MEN’S GRAND FINAL SERIES - GOLD COAST ROLLERS V USC RIP CITY
Sit back, get your popcorn out and turn the volume up on Kayo, because Jason Cadee and Tanner Krebs will have a handful to deal with when Kouat Noi and USC come rolling into town Friday night.
The Rollers are a stacked squad, not only do they feature NBL stars like Krebs and Cadee but they also have DJ Mitchell, who recently signed with the Bullets and had 35 points in the Semi-Finals to beat the Northside Wizards.
Kouat Noi promised on the Coles Express NBL1 Show he’d win MVP, not only did he back that up, he said he’d beat the Cairns Marlins in the Semi-Finals, and he dd that too. Noi also says he wants to bring USC a championship, it’s a lot of bold claims for the 24-year-old but he has backed all of them up so far, can Noi and Rip City beat the Rollers?
