The Townsville Flames have reappointed Shannon Seebohm for the 2022 NBL1 North season.
Seebohm led the Flames to a third-place finish and finals berth in 2021, winning the NBL1 North Women's Coach of the Year for his efforts.
He also coaches the Townsville Fire in the WNBL and will look to go a step further with his side this season after finishing as runners-up last season.
Seebohm holds an extensive coaching resume which includes a WNBL coach of the year award for the 2014-15 season, and three seasons as Assistant Coach of the Sydney Kings.
He has been part of Basketball Australia’s National coaching ranks for almost six years, which has included coaching the National Under 17 Women’s Team to Gold at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship.
As a player, he represented Australia at the FIBA U19 World Championship, attended the AIS and played for the Souths Dragons in the NBL before retiring due to health issues.
