Dandenong Rangers star Nyadiew Puoch has been selected with the 12th overall pick by the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA draft.
The 19-year-old WNBL champion played her past two NBL1 seasons with Dandenong, averaging 21.6 points and 8.6 rebounds in her 21 games for the club.

ESPN’s expert panel described Puoch‘s potential as “having the highest ceiling of any International [player] in this draft.”
She was joined by two other Australians in the draft, with former Forestville Eagle Isobel Borlase going 20th and former Geelong United Supercat Jaz Shelley going 29th – who were selected by the Dream and Phoenix Mercury respectively.
