The first cross-conference MVP Teige Morrell has re-signed with the Lakeside Lightning for the 2025 NBL1 West season.
In her first season with the Lightning, she averaged 21.3 points, 14.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 blocks and steals per game. Winning her second MVP award within the NBL1, her first since 2021 with the Southern Tigers in NBL1 Central.
In this current WNBL season, Morrell is making an impact off the bench. Averaging 3.8 points and three rebounds in 17 games for the second on the ladder Perth Lynx.
Joining her father, head coach Marty Zeller, the Lightning will be gunning for another Preliminary Finals appearance in 2025.
