Two-time NBL1 National Finals All-Star Five member Marshall Nelson will return to the Rockingham Flames for 2024.
One of the stars in the West, the former Cairns Taipan has been a leading factor in his club’s success – averaging 15.7 points, 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds for the Preliminary Finalist.
Claiming the NBL1 West and National Title in 2022, Nelson’s Flames were invited to defend their championship at the 2023 National Finals in Joondalup, WA.
Across the tournament, he averaged 20 points, 6.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds, leading the Flames to the Championship Game – where they lost by five points to the Knox Raiders.
Upon signing, Nelson said he cannot wait to return to the Flames culture and go further than they did last season.
“I’m really excited to be returning to the Flames, having such a great community surrounding the club made the decision an easy choice,” he said via the Flames’ announcement.
“Keen to get back On the court with my bro’s and redeem ourselves after last year.”
