The Perth Redbacks will be welcoming back Mikayla Pirini for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
Pirini suited up for Lakeside in 2021 and averaged 10.2 points from 12 games.
Redbacks NBL1 Director Nathan Barns was excited to welcome back a player of Pirini's calibre.
"The recruitment of Mikayla is a great outcome for the Redbacks," he said.
"Not only is Mikayla a quality person, but we are also getting a point guard that releases our existing players into other roles, something which I think adds tremendous value to the whole team.
"We cannot wait to see Mikayla don the Red again."?
Perth women's head coach Michelle Fletcher was equally excited about Pirini's signing.
?
"I couldn’t be more thrilled that Mikayla has committed to our team for season 2022," Fletcher said.
"She is a terrific person both on and off the court, and will help us tremendously with her play and knowledge of the game and the standards sets.
"Mikayla was a key recruiting target for us this off-season and her elite skill set will give us access to a true point guard and on-court general."
