The Mandurah Magic have signed Seb Reath, Alex Wittinger and Hannah Little for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 West season.
Reath has a lot of untapped potential to go with his already strong skills set and will help the Magic as they continue to recruit and build a championship-winning group and culture.
Wittinger, a 6'1" former University of Illinois standout, will join the Magic women at the conclusion of her commitments in France.
Head Coach Vlad Alava said Wittinger’s signing was another that followed on from the last free agency period.
"Alex was another that committed to us last season and to have her agree to return is a real boost for our group and a feel-good scenario," Alava said.
"We really like her athleticism, willingness to defend and she’s an efficient scorer which is another particularly attractive quality."
The American will be hoping for better fortune with previous attempts to play in Australia in 2021 and 2020 derailed by COVID.
Along with agreeing to play with the Magic last season, she was signed by the Cockburn Cougars in 2020 before going home due to COVID-19.
"I'm very excited to play for Mandurah and to get the opportunity to play in Australia," Wittinger said.
"With COVID-19 preventing me from being able to come previous years, I'm grateful to get the chance to work, compete, and live in a beautiful place like this.
"Mandurah seems to have a solid group of people, players and staff, and I'm excited to see what we can do on the court this season!"
Import Little comes highly regarded having played professionally for a number of years in Europe including stops in Greece, Finland and Germany.
"Little is another player that we recruited who can play right through to 3-4-5 and is to put, quite simply, a very talented player on both ends of the floor," Alava said.
"She’s a former teammate of Carly (Boag) in Finland and Carly rates her highly.
"Their chemistry is going to be exciting to watch."
Little is also very much looking forward to coming to Australia including reuniting with Boag with the Magic at the conclusion of her European season in Germany with USC Freiburg.
"I am beyond excited to get to Australia," Little said.
"I've heard nothing but good things about Mandurah Magic.
"I cannot wait to reunite with THE Carly Boag.
"I'm also looking forward to meeting the rest of the team!
"I am very thankful for the opportunity and I am excited to get there and get to work."
