Leah Scott came up big as the South West Metro Pirates beat the North Gold Coast Seahawks in overtime in the NBL1 North while Roman Siulepa, Mitch Norton, Nelson Kahler and Kouat Noi had standout performances in men's wins.
Saturday night's women's action in the NBL1 North saw the Southern Districts Spartans beat the Cairns Dolphins 101-84 while the Townsville Flames downed the Sunshine Coast Phoenix 78-49, and the South West Metro Pirates won 68-62 against the North Gold Coast Seahawks.
The Rockhampton Cyclones also defeated the Darwin Salties 96-66, and the Gold Coast Rollers beat the Ipswich Force 105-44.
The men's results then saw the Rollers defeat the Force 76-70, the Salties defeat the Rockets 112-105, the Pirates down the Seahawks 85-69, the Phoenix win 91-65 against the Heat and the Spartans defeat the Marlins 92-65.

Gold Coast Rollers (105) defeated Ipswich Force (44)
Kate Deeble knocked down nine three-pointers as the Gold Coast Rollers romped to the 105-44 victory at home to the Ipswich Force.
Both teams came into the contest at Carrara Stadium both looking for a second win of the season and Gold Coast was still hunting a first win at home for 2024.
The Rollers came into the match up on a six-game losing run and they suffered a scare early with Ipswich scoring the opening nine points of the game.
Gold Coast responded in the best possible way by scoring the next 22 points to be leading 22-9 by quarter-time and then they continued on with the job from there having picked up the momentum.
The Rollers would go on to outscore Ipswich 22 points to eight in the second quarter to be leading 44-17 at half-time.
It was another 35 points to 12 in the third quarter and 26 to 15 in the fourth with the lead for the Gold Coast getting out to as much as 63 points before they won by 61.
Gold Coast ended the night making 19/44 from three-point range while pulling down 62 rebounds to just 37 from Ipswich with the Force going at just 24.6 per cent from the field along with 6/28 at the three-point line and 6/16 at the foul line.
It's a second win of the season for Gold Coast with Kate Deeble having a night out knocking down 9/13 from behind the three-point arc for 34 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Myah Selland added 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals, Taylor Lee 12 points, seven boards and six assists, and Lisa Koop seven points and 14 rebounds.
Ipswich now slips to 1-9 on the season with Kate Head top-scoring with 11 points and three assists with Amanda Cahill adding 10 points and five rebounds, and Kahlaijah Dean 10 points and five boards.
Gold Coast will now host Logan Thunder on Friday night while Ipswich will be at home to the Mackay Meteorettes the same evening.

Rockhampton Cyclones (96) defeated Darwin Salties (66)
The Rockhampton Cyclones responded to their first two defeats of the season in emphatic fashion with a 96-66 win over the travelling Darwin Salties.
The Salties started their double-header on the road this weekend with a 13-point loss in Mackay ahead of arriving at Bravus Arena to take on a Rockhampton team fresh off losses at the hands of the Northside Wizards and then in Darwin to the Salties.
It was a rematch just seven days later and Rockhampton began the revenge mission with 30 points to 12 in the opening quarter.
The Cyclones would end up leading 54-39 at half-time before the lead got out to as much as 32 points in the final period with Rockhampton outscoring Darwin 15 points to five.
The Cyclones ended up winning by 30 points to improve to a 6-2 record with Lauren Heard delivering a triple-double consisting of 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Sam Bowman ended up top-scoring with 31 points to go with 17 rebounds, four assists and four steals with Lara McSpadden finishing with 26 points and 13 rebounds on 11/13 shooting, and Morgan Yaeger 13 points, 10 assists, seven boards and two steals.
The Salties have now lost both games on the road this weekend to end the round at 6-3 with Courtney Woods putting up 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Cat MacGregor 21 points, four boards and four assists.
Rockhampton will be on the road next Saturday night against Townsville with Darwin back away again to take on the Northside Wizards.

South West Metro Pirates (68) defeated North Gold Coast Seahawks (62)
The South West Metro Pirates were able to dominate the overtime period to claim the 68-62 win at home to the North Gold Coast Seahawks.
The Seahawks arrived at Hibiscus Sports Stadium in hot form having lost their past seven matches but they were without Miela Goodchild who has been on fire to take on a Pirates team trying to snap a five-game losing slide.
It was a hot start from South West Metro on their home floor as they raced out to a 15-point lead by quarter-time having held the Seahawks to just the seven points who were struggling to find an avenue to score in the absence of Goodchild.
The lead for the Pirates got out to 18 points in the second quarter as well but then North Gold Coast worked back into the contest and by half-time had cut the lead for the home team back to 29-22.
After just the 51 points combined in the first half, the scoring picked up in the third quarter with 19 points for the Seahawks to 13 to the Pirates which saw North Gold Coast right back into the contest.
However, the Pirates pulled away once more to be leading by 13 points with 4:45 on the clock, but then the Seahawks fired up and scored the next 13 points beginning with three-pointers from Jessica Relf and Mikaela Ruef.
In the finish, it was Ruef going to the foul line after being fouled taking a three-pointer with time running out. She would miss the first two but made the third to level scores up at 60-60 and to send the game into overtime.
It was then all South West Metro in the extra five minutes as they outscored the Seahawks eight points to two to score the 68-62 win and improve to 4-5 on the season and snap that five-game losing run.
Leah Scott put together another huge performance for the Pirates with 22 points, 18 rebounds, three assists and three steals even on 7/25 shooting.
Taya Hanson added 20 points, four rebounds and four steals with Bronte Corke contributing 13 points and two boards, and Alana Fraser four points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
North Gold Coast's winning run comes to an end to be now 8-2 on the season with Mikaela Ruef finishing with another 15 points, 33 rebounds and three assists despite shooting 6/21 from the field.
Grace Champion added 15 points and five rebounds, Jessia Reif 12 points and five boards, and Chailee Ward seven points, four assists and three rebounds.
South West Metro will be back home next Saturday night against Mackay while the Seahawks will play host to the Gold Coast Rollers the same evening.

The Townsville Flames bounced back from their Friday night loss to win big 78-49 against the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.
It was a double-header on the road for Townville this weekend and it didn’t get off to the ideal start with the Friday loss to the undefeated reigning champion Northside Wizards.
The Flames then arrived on Saturday at Caloundra Indoor Stadium to take on a Sunshine Coast team with just the one win on the board so far in 2024.
It was a dominant opening period from Townsville with 25 points to eight in the first quarter on the back of scoring 13 consecutive points.
The Flames would still be leading 39-22 by half-time before then further pulling away in the second half to lead by as much as 28 points in the third period, and then 32 in the fourth.
Townsville would end up scoring the 29-point victory to improve to an 8-2 record on the season with Alex Fowler a dominant presence once more with 24 points, 10 rebounds and three assists on 8/11 shooting from the field and 8/9 at the foul line.
Indiah Bowyer also had 22 points and four rebounds on 5/12 three-point shooting with Kate Gaze adding nine points and four boards, Ella Tofaeono six points, nine rebounds and two assists, and Saffron Shiels six points, six assists and four boards.
Sunshine Coast has now lost three straight to be 1-8 for 2024 with Nicola Handreck top-scoring with 15 points and three assists while Madeleine White contributed 10 points and five boards, and Carlie Smith eight points and 12 rebounds.
The Phoenix will be back home on Friday night to take on the Darwin Salties with Townsville to play host to the Rockhampton Cyclones next Saturday night.

Ariana Moorer produced a triple-double and Maddy Allen put up 24 points as the Southern Districts Spartans overcame 35 points from Mia Loyd to beat the Cairns Dolphins 101-84.
The Spartans were back home at Rowland Cowan Stadium looking to hit back from losing three of their past four matches up against the travelling Dolphins who lost in overtime the previous night to the Brisbane Capitals.
Southern Districts had opened up a seven-point lead already by quarter-time on the winless Dolphins, but Cairns continued to battle hard and were still just six points down by half-time.
However, the Spartans pulled away further in the third quarter with 32 points to 22 which set up the eventual 17-point victory to see them improve to 5-4 on the season.
Maddy Allen top-scored for Southern Districts with 24 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals on 6/10 three-point shooting but Ariana Moorer also starred with a triple-double made up of 12 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.
Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard also had 23 points and seven rebounds, Kalani Purcell 17 points, five assists, four boards, two steals and two blocked shots, and Alice Dart 12 points.
Cairns might have lost twice on this weekend's road trip, but showed plenty of encouraging signs despite now slipping to 0-10 on the season as one of just three winless women's NBL1 teams around the country.
Mia Loyd backed up a tremendous night on Friday for the Dolphins by producing another 35 points, eight rebounds and two steals on 13/26 shooting from the floor and 8/11 from the free-throw line.
Teyahna Bond added 14 points, six rebounds and two assists, and Taryn Bond 10 points, four boards and two assists.
The Spartans will be away to the Brisbane Capitals next Saturday night with Cairns back home to play host to the Rockhampton Cyclones next Sunday evening.

The Gold Coast Rollers made it two from two in Grand Final rematches this season with the 76-70 win at home against the Ipswich Force.
Gold Coast had already earned one measure of revenge beating Ipswich on their home floor to open the season after the Force's stirring win in the last two games of last year's Grand Final series to secure the championship.
The Rollers were back home on Saturday night at Carrara Stadium having lost their past two matches while the Force had also lost three in-a-row including on Friday night against Logan Thunder.
Ipswich did manage to open up an early six-point lead, but by quarter-time Gold Coast had built its own six-point advantage.
It remained a tight affair throughout the second quarter too and by half-time it was Gold Coast clinging to the 40-37 lead.
The Rollers were able to blow the game open in the third quarter by completing a 12-0 scoring run to lead by as much as 14 points, and they would never surrender the lead again and go on to score the six-point victory.
The win improves Gold Coast to a 4-4 record on the season with Elijah Kamu delivering 22 points, 14 rebounds and two assists on 11/16 shooting from the floor.
Will Magnay also put up 19 points and 14 rebounds in his best performance since joining Gold Coast on the back of being a key part of the Tasmania JackJumpers winning the NBL championship.
Boston Mazlin also contributed 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals, Jason Cadee 12 points and 10 assists, and Preston Le Gassick eight points and five rebounds.
Ipswich is now 3-7 on the season with four consecutive defeats with Nathan Sobey producing 22 points, six assists, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Henry Pwono added 15 points and eight rebounds on 7/11 shooting with Henry Makeny contributing seven points and 11 boards.

The Darwin Salties made it a perfect road weekend with Kouat Noi putting up 28 points in the 112-105 high scoring win over the Rockhampton Rockets who got 41 points from Matur Maker.
The Salties began their road double weekend with the 18-point win over the previously undefeated Mackay Meteors on Friday so they arrived at Bravus Arena on Saturday full of confidence taking on a Rockhampton team also on a four-match winning streak.
With both teams in winning form and with the stars on either side, it always shaped as a cracking encounter. It sure didn’t disappoint with the two teams ending up combining for 217 points even if it was foul heavy with a combined 55 free-throw attempts.
Darwin were leading narrowly 33-29 at quarter-time before the Salties then put up another 31 points to 22 in the second term to go into half-time leading 64-51.
The Darwin lead blew out to as far as 19 points in the third quarter and they were still leading by as much as 15 in the fourth, but the Rockets then threw everything at what would have been a stunning fightback.
Rockhampton almost pulled it off as well getting back within five points a couple of times in the final quarter, but each time Darwin had the response and ended up winning by seven in an entertaining affair.
The win sees the Salties improve to a 7-2 record on the season with the double win weekend on the road with Kouat Noi leading the charge with 28 points, six rebounds and two assists on 9/13 shooting from the field and 8/9 from the foul line.
Makuach Maluach added 23 points and seven rebounds, Chier Maker 17 points and six boards, Sean Macdonald 14 points, four rebounds and four assists, and Verle Williams 12 points, four boards and three assists.
Rockhampton is now 4-4 on the season with its winning run coming to an end with Matur Maker brilliant with 41 points, 13 rebounds and four assists on 13/17 shooting from the field and 13/14 at the foul line.
Nighael Ceaser also delivered 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Ben Tweedy 14 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Xavier Ford did still have 15 points and five rebounds, but he had a rough shooting night going 6/23 from the field and 2/13 from downtown.

The South West Metro Pirates made it back-to-back wins and handed the North Gold Coast Seahawks a second straight loss with the 85-69 victory with Roman Siulepa again shining.
The Pirates were back home at Hibiscus Sports Stadium looking to back up last week's win against the defending champion Ipswich Force while the Seahawks were attempting to rebound from a loss to the Mackay Meteors.
South West Metro made a flying start to open up an early 12-point advantage and to still be on top 27-20 at quarter-time.
The lead for the Pirates then grew to 14 in the second term and was 45-31 at the half-time interval.
The advantage for South West Metro got out to a game-high 21 points in the second half as well before the home team went on to score the 16-point victory.
The win improves the Pirates to a 4-5 record on the season with teenage sensation Roman Siulepa shining once again with 32 points, 14 rebounds and two assists on shooting 13/18 from the floor and 3/5 from behind the three-point arc.
Brendan Teys is at the opposite end of his career to Siulepa, but was also influential in the win with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists with 3/5 three-point shooting while Kai Woodfall contributed 15 points, five boards and four assists.
Nikhil Peters also ended up with 14 points and three assists, and Ben Volkman five points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
The Seahawks are now 4-6 with back-to-back defeats with Matt Kenyon putting up 20 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three assists, Cameron Healy 20 points and nine boards, and Will Mahoney 16 points and seven rebounds.
South West Metro will be back home next Saturday night against Mackay while the Seahawks will play host to the Gold Coast Rollers the same evening.

Nelson Kahler delivered a dominant performance to help the Sunshine Coast Phoenix to the impressive 91-65 home victory against the Townsville Heat.
The Phoenix were back home at Caloundra Indoor Stadium looking to snap a two-game losing slide up against a Townsville team on a five-game losing run including the previous night to start their road double.
The Heat lost to the Northside Wizards on Friday night and backed up on Saturday with Sunshine Coast opening up a 29-20 advantage by the end of the first quarter.
The Phoenix would go on to score 12 straight points to close the first quarter and then the first six of the second, and their advantage would grow to 21 points in the second stanza on the way to holding a 50-29 lead by the half-time break.
Sunshine Coast kept building on that advantage with the lead getting out to as much as 31 points in the second half as well before the Phoenix ended up recording the 26-point victory.
The win improves Sunshine Coast to a 5-4 record on the season with Nelson Kahler the player to have the most significant impact on the contest finishing with 22 points and 20 rebounds on 10/13 shooting.
Darnell Robateau added 14 points and six rebounds for the Phoenix, Jamaal Robateau 17 points, four boards, four assists and three steals, Kobe McDowell-White 12 points and nine assists, and Duom Dawam 11 points and eight rebounds.
Townsville has now lost six straight to be anchored to bottom place at 2-8 with Richard Peachey finishing with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 4/7 from three-point territory.
Harrison Pennisi added 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks, and Ethan Betts nine points, six boards, three assists and two steals.
The Phoenix will be back home on Friday night to take on the Darwin Salties with Townsville to play host to the Rockhampton Rockets next Saturday night.

The Southern Districts Spartans continue to loom large over this NBL1 North season with Mitch Norton and Tyrell Harrison combining for 49 points in the 92-65 win over the Cairns Marlins.
Southern Districts came into the match up at Rowland Cowan Stadium having won four straight ahead of hosting a Cairns team playing the second end of its double-header on the road having lost to the Brisbane Capitals on Friday.
With quite the impressive starting five made up of Brisbane Bullets pair Norton and Harrison, Jarred Bairstow fresh off a championship with the Tasmania JackJumpers, former Perth Wildcats guard Corey Shervill, and the multi-faceted Max Kerle, and the Spartans have been building nicely.
The Spartans opened up an eight-point advantage already in the first quarter and then put together a run of 18 straight points in the second frame on the way to building a 26-point advantage.
Southern Districts went into half-time leading 51-36 with the lead growing again throughout the second half to as much as 27 in the final term with the Spartans putting together another impressive run of scoring 22 consecutive points.
In the end, the Spartans would go on to score the 27-point victory to claim a fifth straight win to improve to a 6-4 record on the season.
The guns all delivered in the win for Southern Districts with Mitch Norton starring with 27 points, four rebounds and four assists on 11/17 shooting from the field.
His Bullets teammate Harrison added 22 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots while Jarred Bairstow contributed 13 points, 10 boards, three assists and two steals, Max Kerle 12 points and seven rebounds, and Corey Shervill 11 points, four boards and two blocked shots.
Cairns is now on a three-game losing slide at 4-6 with Alex Mudronja top-scoring with 22 points, five steals, three rebounds and two assists on 8/12 shooting.
Ky Stattmann added 18 points and seven rebounds, and his brother Kody Stattmann 15 points and three assists.
The Spartans will be away to the Brisbane Capitals next Saturday night with Cairns back home to play host to the Rockhampton Rockets next Sunday evening.
