One of the two teams was going to end the season on a high and the scales tipped towards the Cavs with Kunek's return after being mighty unlucky to miss selection in the Australian Opals team for the Paris Olympic Games.
Despite that, it was the Tigers who had the better of the start to be leading 22-18 by quarter-time and out to a double-figure advantage early in the second stanza.
However, Casey hit back from there and by half-time had the deficit back to just three points.
The Cavaliers then took charge in the second half with 24 points to eight in the third period and 37 to 25 in the fourth to end the season in style with the 25-point victory.

Kilsyth Cobras (67) lost to Bendigo Braves (90)
The Bendigo Braves welcomed back Amy Atwell and she helped them to the 90-67 win over the Kilsyth Cobras, but it wasn’t quite enough to break back into a top eight position.
The Braves arrived at Kilsyth Sports Centre needing to not only beat the Cobras to be a chance to play finals and defend their championship from last year, but also needed other results to go their way.
While Eltham did lose on Saturday night to the Ballarat Miners, they hold the head-to-head record over the Braves so despite the win, Bendigo's season is over.
Lifted by the presence of Atwell back in the line-up despite still missing Ally Wilson and Megan McKay, the Braves opened up a 28-20 lead by quarter-time and continued to be in control the rest of the way.
The lead for Bendigo got out to 13 points in the second quarter, 28 in the third and 33 in the fourth before they ended up scoring the 23-point victory.
While the win improves the Braves to a 12-10 record, they will finish in ninth position but will get the chance to defend their National Championship next month on the Sunshine Coast.
Amy Atwell returned and delivered 24 points and seven rebounds with Kelly Wilson providing 13 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds.
Levinia Cox also added 23 points and six rebounds for Bendigo with Kasey Burton contributing 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Caitlin Richardson 10 points and four boards.

Nunawading Spectres (76) lost to Launceston Tornadoes (77)
It was a spectacular finish with a steal at halfcourt leading to the winning layup from Trinity Oliver as the Launceston Tornadoes pinched one 77-76 on the road to the Nunawading Spectres.
The two teams might have been in two of three bottom positions coming into the last round of the regular season, but that didn’t stop them providing quite the entertaining affair at Nunawading Basketball Centre.
It was the first of two games on the road this weekend for Launceston but it was the last game of the season for Nunawading who had the chance to avoid the wooden spoon with the victory.
The Spectres did appear in control for a lot of the evening leading by as much as 13 points in the second quarter and then still by as much as six in the fourth.
Nunawading were still leading by four with just over 10 seconds to go after a pair of free-throws from Batabe Zempare before Trinity Oliver kept things interesting with a three-pointer.
Coming out of a timeout and it was seemingly a formality that the Spectres just had to get the ball into play, would be fouled and then the Tornadoes would either have the chance to tie the game or win it on the last possession.
However, Nunawading couldn’t complete the first part of the job with Rachel Brewster's pass intended for Rachel Antoniadou intercepted by Oliver at halfcourt. She went up to lay the ball up to give Launceston the most spectacular of one-point wins from nowhere.
The win improves the Tornadoes to a 6-15 record and is a second straight victory ahead of Sunday's clash to complete their season also on the road to the Dandenong Rangers.
On top of the winning steal and layup, Trinity Oliver finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals with 4/7 three-point shooting for Launceston.
