Sandringham Sabres 77 defeated by Frankston Blues 82
The Frankston Blues closed out the Sandringham Sabres 82-77 on Tuesday night at the Southern Basketball Stadium.
Off the back Ballin'24 Opals games, Steph Reid put her resume on display. Scoring 48 points, pulling down 12 rebounds with six assists and five steals in the win.
Reid's effort was complemented by Lauren Scherf and Louise Brown who contributed 15 and 11 points, respectively. While it was a close finish, Frankston's ability to get tough baskets was the difference maker, with seven more offensive rebounds and 14 second-chance points, they were able to close the game with a five-point difference.
The Sabres, despite the loss, had some outstanding performances. Particularly from Juna Umezawa, who scored 20 points while Isis Lopes and Klara Wischer added 17 and 15 points each.

Sandringham Sabres 79 defeated by Frankston Blues 90
The Frankston Blues secured a win and their Finals spot against the Sandringham Sabres 90-79 on Tuesday night at the Southern Basketball Stadium.
With an all-around team performance, the Blues hit 51.4 percent of their shots and were led by reigning Co-MVP Daniel Trist -- who dropped a cool 25 points and snagged 12 boards. Frankston dominated inside, scoring 52 points in the paint and outrebounding Sandringham 44 to 34.
On the other hand, the Sabres struggled to keep pace as their inability to score inside cost them the win. While it was a strong showing from Tanner Krebs with 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists -- no other Sabres were able to add much more to the scoring tally.
