NBL1 National Champion, South East Melbourne Phoenix player and U20’s National Championship winner Austin Rapp will return to the Knox Raiders for the 2024 NBL1 South season.
Stepping up when it mattered most, Rapp started at center for the Knox Raiders during the National Finals with Mason Peatling and Deng Acouth both unavailable. He averaged 31 minutes in Joondalup, compared to his 18 minutes per game in the South season.
In the three games in Western Australia, he averaged 16 points and 9.3 rebounds for the Raiders. Scoring a season-high 26 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks against the Sutherland Sharks.
He’s just coming off a gold medal finish at the U20 National Championships, scoring 32 points and hitting the game-winning shot against Queensland.
Rapp played in seven games this past NBL24 regular season, finishing three games with over 10 minutes of action for the injury-riddled Phoenix.
Rapp has committed to the University of Portland with the Portland Pilots.
He now joins South East Melbourne Phoenix teammate Anzac Rissetto and championship teammates KJ Feagin and Dylan Hare and Jacob Foy.
