The 2023 NBL1 West Defensive Player of the Year Gorjok Gak has signed with the Rockingham Flames for the 2024 season.
Spending last year with the Willetton Tigers, the All-Star Five member averaged 19.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and just under a block per game for the Semi-Finalists.

In NBL24 with the South East Melbourne Phoenix, Gak played 17 games averaging 5.4 points and 4.9 rebounds in his first season with the club.
Gak signs with the Flames as a replacement for Jeremy Combs, who has signed with the Joondalup Wolves.
While Gak isn’t as natural as a scorer as Combs, his league-best defence will compensate – while back-to-back MVP Deondrick Walker and NBL1 National Finals All-Star Five member Marshall Nelson will be able to carry Rockingham’s offence once again.
National Championship coach Ryan Petrik said he’s excited to finally bring in the NBL talent.
“It’s a signature we’d been chasing for a long, long time now, so we were elated to have finally gotten it,” he said.
“Gorjok was the best big in the NBL1 West competition last year, and coming off a huge NBL season for SE Melbourne, we think he’ll be even better this time around.
“We can’t wait to see what he can do alongside Devondrick, Boof (Ryan Godfrey) and Co. inside our system.”
Gorjok Gak added, "It was tough playing against Coach Petrik's system last year, so I can't wait to be a part of it!”
The NBL1 West starts on Thursday, March 28 streaming Live and Free via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App.
