The Brisbane Bullets have announced the signing of NBL1 South star Gabe Hadley on a one-year deal.
Hadley, 25, played one game for the Cairns Taipans last season after initially being brought in as a train-on player, and suited up as an injury replacement.
He has averaged 24.7 points per game playing for Geelong United Supercats this NBL1 season, where they finished with the 11th seed.
Hadley is the final local player to be added to the Bullets’ roster, and previously worked with head coach Justin Schueller at the Geelong Supercats.
"Gabe is a product of hard work and grinding his craft in NBL1, and it's great that he gets this opportunity with us," Schueller said.
"I've known Gabe a very long time and coached him on multiple teams and levels. He is someone that is dependable, competes every day and wants to get better - exactly the type of guy we want to round out our list.
"When rounding out our roster we knew we needed to add shooting to our list, and that's exactly what he will bring to our squad."
Hadley's collegiate career was unfortunately cut short due to Covid, however before his senior season with the University of California, San Diego was cut short he was ranked second in his team for scoring.
He shot almost 40 per cent from three this NBL1 season, and recently scored 43 points in Geelong's victory over Keilor.
"I'm super pumped to have signed with the Bullets," Hadley said. "Justin has coached me for a long time now so it's nice to go into a system that I already know.
"Fans can definitely expect me to shoot some threes ... but more importantly I'm going to try and bring defensive intensity."
