An undefeated powerhouse, the Bendigo Braves’ 2023 season will go down in the history books.
The Braves carry a perfect 25-0 record into the National Final and will hope to add another chapter to its memorable season.
Kelly Wilson led the entire competition in assists, dishing out 10.8 per game, having the Golden Hands award named after her, being immortalised in NBL1 South history.
The team features MVP Megan McKay, who dropped 20 points and 20 rebounds in three different games, alongside Opal Amy Atwell who scored 36 points in the Grand Final.
The Braves turned a heartbreaking Grand Final loss from last year into an undefeated season and a trip to the National Finals. Starting on Friday, they’ll take on the NBL1 West champions the Cockburn Cougars, get your tickets below:
KNOX RAIDERS WRAP:
The Knox Raiders finished their season with a hotly contested Grand Final, defeating the Sandringham Sabres by four points.
The Raiders claimed a 90-86 victory and were deserved champions after their season-long consistency. The Raiders are led by a powerful import duo in Ke’Jhan Feagin and Wayne Stewart Jr.
Feagin was the Raiders’ leading point scorer this season, with 18.9 points per game, and he added 26 points in the Grand Final.
Knox had a stellar 2023 season and finished first on the ladder, with only four losses in the 22 games played.
The Raiders will carry their dominant momentum over to the National Finals, where they will face the NBL1 Central’s West Adelaide Bearcats on Friday night.
