Returning for her fifth season with the club, Keely Froling has re-signed with the Launceston Tornadoes for the 2025 NBL1 South season.
In this past WNBL season, Froling was named captain of Geelong United's inaugural team, playing in 12 games before suffering a season-ending knee injury. She will return to the court with the Tornadoes, playing alongside a group of new recruits in rising star Bailey Flavell and import Megan Mullings.
She will also join former teammate and now head coach Zoe Mesman, who explained how impactful Froling can be at the NBL1 level.
“Keely brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our group and drives everyone to be at their best. We are lucky to have such an elite player busting to get back on the court and start the NBL1 season off in the form she was in during the 2024/25 WNBL season.
"I hope the local community will leave our games inspired by Keely’s work ethic, offensive power and defensive heart.”
After only playing five games last season, Froling explained she is excited to return for 2025.
“I am excited to be back with the Tornadoes for another season,” Froling said.
“It’s a good group with a mix of youth and experience. With Zoe leading us, I’m really keen to see what the team can achieve.”
