The back-to-back NBL1 East MVP Will Cranston-Lown has signed with the Hobart Chargers for the 2025 NBL1 South season.
The 24-year-old guard has been a force for the Maitland Mustangs the past three seasons, leading them to three straight Grand Finals and finally conquering the conference this past season - being named the Finals MVP.
Last season he averaged 21.1 points, six assists, 5.1 rebounds, leading Maitland to a 17-3 record.
"I can’t wait to get down to Hobart and compete with the boys for a championship,” he said.
“The culture down there looks like something you want to be apart of and they have a great coaching staff leading the way"
Speaking with Chargers media, new head coach Jarrad Weeks said he’s excited to bring this level of talent down to Tasmania.
“(He’s) a kid I’ve been watching for the past couple of years… he’s been an MVP of the NBL1 East and he’s a very crafty player,” he said.
“I’m excited for him to take that next step, come down to the NBL1 South and really put his name out on the map and see how far he can take his basketball career.”
He joins Jacob Richards and Ole Angerstein on the roster for the 2025 season.
