Opal squad member and WNBA Draft pick Isobel Borlase has signed with the Forestville Eagles for the 2024 NBL1 Central season.
The 19-year-old is coming off an All-WNBL First team season for the Adelaide Lightning, averaging 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the seventh-placed squad.
The South Australian's basketball breakout was in 2022 with the NBL1 Centre of Excellence, winning multiple games against some of the best teams in the NBL1 West as a teenager.

Her NBL1 success led to her debut WNBL season, where she was named the Sixth Woman of the Year and Breakout Player of the Year as a rookie for the Lightning.
In the 2024 WNBA Draft, Borlase was selected with the 20th overall pick by the Atlanta Dream. Joining NBL1 star Nyadiew Puoch on the WNBA side.
She appeared in only two games for the Eagles last season after suffering a back injury and will now join the fourth-placed Eagles for their ANZAC Day game on Thursday, streaming Live and Free from 3:00pm ACST via Kayo Freebies.
