The Norwood Flames have signed Ella Turnbull, Aimee Herriman, Amber Bing and Alice Sabine for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 Central season.
25-year-old Herriman played a reserve role off the bench last season.
Playing as a wing, Herriman brings a great understanding of the game and also works hard on and off the court.
She also provides an extra scoring threat from the three-point line.
Turnbull just graduated Norwood’s Junior program, finishing U18’s in 2021 and now is making the full-time leap into the senior program.
Known for her tough on-ball defence and ability to push the ball and make great passes, 17-year-old Turnbull will look to continue her development in the NBL1 program.
Having just been selected in an Under 20 South Australian State Team, Turnbull has developed particularly well over the past 12 months.
She has grown more confident each month as her game has continued to evolve.
At U18 level for Norwood (2021), she averaged six points, four assists and 2.3 steals per game, showing her versatility in what she contributes to the team.
Another young core piece of the future, Sabine has been involved in High Performance programs for multiple years and will be looking to continue her emergence as she moves up into the senior ranks at Norwood.
Having started at U10 level at the club, Sabine is now seeing her hard work over the years come to fruition as she enters another phase of her career.
Having played 238 games since U10 level, Sabine is a club stalwart.
Still only 16, turning 17 this year, she will look to keep learning from the veterans in NBL1.
After seeing a lot of development in the U18 program in 2021, Bing is aiming to keep her trajectory going as she balances school commitments with playing NBL1.
Last year she averaged eight points per game at U18 level whilst shooting an impressive 30 percent from the three-point line on 1.8 makes per game.
