Amarco Doyle becomes the newest face to join the Castec Rural Pioneers, arriving in Mount Gambier as the club continues its strong start to the season, currently sitting 2nd on the ladder with a 4–1 record.
A product of the College of Southern Idaho, Amarco built a strong resume in the U.S. college system, earning All-Conference First Team JUCO honours in his most recent campaign.
Returning to Australia in 2024, he played a pivotal role in leading the Mackay Meteors to an NBL1 North Championship, while also being named North Youth Player of the Year.
In 19 games with Mackay, Amarco averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and shot an impressive 62.3% from the field and 40.5% from three, proving to be a consistent and efficient contributor off the bench.
“Amarco’s signing has been a long time in the making and now completes our roster,” said Head Coach Richard Hill.
“He is a versatile and athletic wing or stretch four who fits the modern game and our system perfectly. Amarco is a high character young man with a huge upside. I’m excited to have the opportunity to help him along what I’m confident will be a rewarding journey.” he added.
Amarco is set to make his debut this weekend in the ANZAC Round clash against the Waverley Falcons at Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.
The 2025 NBL1 South season is already in full swing, and Amarco’s arrival adds even more depth and energy to a team on the rise.
