The Forestville Eagles have re-signed Andrew Simons as their men's head coach for the 2022 NBL1 Central season.
Simons first played basketball for Forestville in 1973 and played his entire junior career there.
He represented South Australia numerous times and was a member of Forestville's Premier League Men's Team from 1980.
He then moved interstate to begin his NBL and SEABL career which spanned over 10 years before returning to Adelaide permanently with his family.
He continued to play for Forestville until 2002.
Upon his return to Adelaide, Simons transitioned into coaching firstly with the Eagles' Premier League Women's team and then moving to their Men's team from 2003 upon his retirement from playing- a role which he still holds to this day.
Simons led the Eagles to the finals with a 13-5 regular-season record, finishing second on the NBL1 Central ladder behind Sturt.
