The Woodville Warriors have signed Renai Fejo and Regan Turnour-McCarty for the 2022 NBL1 Central season.

Renai, the sister of Adelaide Lightning player Jasmine and Woodville NBL1 Men’s player Daniel, is a lightning quick guard who has been playing in the Big V senior competition in Victoria with Sherbrooke and Craigieburn.

Fejo has recently returned to Adelaide with work and has already started training with the NBL1 squad.

Coach Daniel Jaunutis was ecstatic to have Fejo in Woodville colours next year.

"She is lightning quick which will allow us to push the tempo of the game and play a lot faster pace," Jaunutis said.

"She is great defensively as she can read the play and her quickness lets her pick off passes or stay with any opposition player."

Turnour-McCarty is a 6'1" forward that will add some much needed height to the wings.

She is a player that will play hard on every possession and is also a lethal outside shooter.

Following multiple Queensland South State teams selections, Turnour-McCarty attended Newberry College in America where she went on to average 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds her senior year.

Following her successful college stint, she returned home to Queensland and led the 2018 Northside Wizards SBL team to its first Championship and was awarded the MVP.

In 2021, Turnour-McCarty played in the NBL1 North competition with the Northside Wizards where she would average 13 points, 7.38 rebounds and three assists per game.

Coach Daniel Jaunutis said on the signing of Turnour-McCarty: "We are so excited to get a player like Regan into the club.

"Regan has legitimate shooting range which will help us stretch the floor, she can get to the rim with either hand and is a willing passer.

"While on the defence side of the ball, her length gives us a lot of versatility with match ups."
