The Joondalup Wolves have announced the re-signing of Aryaan Horne for the 2021 NBL1 West season.
The 5’2 guard has played in the Women’s SBL since 2017, where she has become a strong defensive player.
Horne’s continued energy and execution of defence and improvement since the 2020 season definitely makes her one to watch this NBL1 West season.
Horne spoke to the Joondalup Wolves on her thoughts about re-signing for 2021.
"Re-signing with the Wolves for the 2021 season was a very easy decision to make," she said.
"I am excited for the transition to NBL1 and the many challenges it brings.
"The team is awesome, with coaches and teammates who are genuinely interested in your personal development/improvement and want you to continually succeed.
"We have created an amazing family here at Wolves and it’s one I want to be a part of."
Joondalup Wolves Women’s Head Coach Charles Nix also shared his thoughts on Horne re-signing for the NBL1 West season.
"Ary is one of those players that you can’t help but love," he said.
"She is team first and always willing to sacrifice for the betterment of our program.
"Last year we saw some massive steps in Ary’s ability to lead a team and her energy, effort and execution on defence was massively better than the year before.
"Ary will continue to improve this year, because she works her butt off, and will take any opportunity that presents.
"We genuinely love Ary around the group, she’s a heart and soul type player."
Horne will be joining Kayla Steindl, Nes’eya Williams, Izzy Miotti, Chelsea Belcher, Amy Kidner, Georgia Denehey, Amber Land, Alix Hayward, Tia Ucich, Olivia Basso and Eleanor Hartill on the Wolves Women’s roster in 2021.
