Atkinson crosses over to Suns

The Eastern Suns have signed their first player for the 2022 NBL1 West season, securing the signature of Tom Atkinson. 

Atkinson spent the 2021 season with the Goldfields Giants and averaged 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game. 

Suns Head Coach Ben Ettridge said he was delighted to have Atkinson on board in 2022. 

"Tom is a versatile wing who can do a variety of things well," Ettridge said.

"His ability to score in multiple ways and defend multiple positions is what we were looking for.

"He is a great rebounder, something we lacked in past seasons.

"Off-court, he is already embracing the Suns family and showing great leadership around the group."
