The Tigers caught fire from the perimeter, hitting 16 triples at an impressive 55 percent clip compared to Sandringham's meagre three made threes. Thomas Wilson led the charge with a brilliant all-around game, pouring in 30 points on 77 percent shooting while adding eight boards and six dimes. Jack Purchase was equally deadly from outside, draining seven triples on his way to 25 points, while also collecting seven rebounds and three blocks.
Despite the lopsided result, Sandringham's Tom Koppens recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards, including four on the offensive glass. The Sabres struggled mightily from the field, shooting just 36 percent compared to Melbourne's efficient 55 percent. Sandringham did manage to get to the charity stripe 34 times but converted only 65 percent of those opportunities.
