The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Wolves junior Briana Chambers for the 2024 NBL1 West season!
Briana makes her return to Australia and the Wolfpack after a successful college career in the USA, playing for NCAA Div II school Livingston College in North Carolina and at Tallahassee Community College in Florida.
Standing at 6’3, Briana is an imposing force on both sides of the court, blocking shots and scoring at an efficient clip. Briana last played for the Wolves in the SBL competition (now NBL1) in 2016 for her rookie season. As a Wolves junior, Briana was a part of the USA trips organized by club legend Van Kailis and won a WABL Player of the Year award, which included a triple double performance in that season.
Wolfpack fans can look forward to seeing Briana back in Green this NBL1 season on Van Kailis Court, HBF Arena!
Women’s Head coach Jesse Pence had this to say about signing Briana:
“We are thrilled to be able to add Briana Chambers to our frontcourt of the 2024 Season. Briana is an efficient scorer and a defensive presence that we envisage helping us to contend in 2024.”
When Briana was asked what she’s most looking forward to this season, she said:
“I’m excited to get on the court again and play in my hometown in front of family and friends and of course represent the Wolfpack! I grew up playing for Wolves, so having the opportunity to come back from college and play NBL1 for the Wolfpack means everything to me.”
Briana Chambers joins teammates Ary Horne, Charli Graziano, Ty Bolland, Jo Odude, Zoe Bassett, Keisha Chng, Jas Kirby, Julia Chandler, Sirena Tuitele, Kyah Nichols, Dynn Leaupepe, Hannah Duncan, Jorjah Smith, Emma Clarke, Laniesha Paddon, Ella Thornton-Elliott, Sarah Toeaina and Darien Huff for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
