The Mount Gambier Pioneers have recently re-signed their 2021 Captain, Tom Daly, which is a wonderful boost for the Club as it develops strong squads for the 2022 NBL1 South season.
Daly has been a highly successful Pioneer for eight seasons, including the last four seasons as captain, and is almost always in MVP contention.
He is an excellent all-round player and leader of the team.
In the 2021 NBL1 season, Daly averaged 18.38 points per game, 4.23 assists and 4.30 rebounds and was the Pioneers' top points scorer in the competition.
Pioneers Head Coach, Richard Hill acknowledged that Daly has been an integral part of the Pioneers' previous successes and remains perfectly placed to help lead the Club to further triumphs.
"Tom showed that he is still one of the leading guards in the competition with a tremendous 40-point game in our win against highly ranked Geelong, in Geelong," Hill said.
"There remains a lot that he can still achieve."
