Captains return to Redbacks for 2022

The Perth Redbacks have announced that NBL1 captains Jessica Jakens and Joel Wagner will be going around again in season 2022.

Jakens led Perth's NBL1 Women all the way to Preliminary Final in 2021 and also celebrated her 200-game milestone during the season.

At the end of the season, she was named the Redbacks' NBL1 Women's Most Consistent Player and will be leading the women again in 2022.

Wagner also achieved a significant games milestone last season when he surpassed Matthew Earp to become the most capped Redbacks player.

His record games total now stands at 379 games.

Wagner was also named Most Consistent Player for Perth's NBL1 Men and added to his all-time league-leading assist count by averaging 6.4 assists a game while also leading the Redbacks to a Preliminary Final berth.
