Castec Rural Partnership with Pioneers continues strongly

Castec Rural Supplies is a local family business with stores in Mount Gambier, Penola and Naracoorte and have been a wonderful supporter of the community and particularly the Mount Gambier Pioneers Basketball Club for more than a decade.

Castec Rural Supplies have been synonymous with the success of the Pioneers as naming rights sponsors of the Club’s Men’s team through the period of continuous success and some challenging times during the last thirteen years.

Castec Rural Supplies owner, Chris Castine, is excited by the new look men’s team in 2023 and the perfect start the team has had after two away match victories.

“Our business is pleased to continue our support of the Pioneers Basketball Club and we are particularly looking forward to the upcoming inaugural matches at Wulanda,” Castine said.

Mount Gambier Pioneers President, Tom Kosch, is very appreciative of Castec Rural Supplies and the Castine family for their long-time sponsorship and support.

“The Castine Family have been outstanding supporters for our basketball club over 13 consecutive seasons.  Their contribution as naming rights partner of our men’s team goes well beyond a commercial partnership and without their support, competing at the NBL1 level would not be possible.

Over the years we have been lucky enough to reward our sponsors and members with some outstanding results on court.

Our sponsors have also stuck by us when we haven’t had success, or the club has had some uncertainty. We hope to once more reward all those people who have stuck by us in past seasons at our new home at Wulanda in 2023,” Kosch said.

The Mount Gambier Pioneers Basketball Club are proud to be the only Mount Gambier sporting team to play in a national competition. The Club is committed to Mount Gambier community and in turn is wonderfully supported by many local businesses large and small.
