Chargers bring back White for 2021 NBL1 South season

The Hobart Chargers have brought back a familiar name for the 2021 NBL1 South season, signing Zac White.

White has played in Hobart since 2014 and averaged 9.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game for the club in the 2019 NBL1 season.

“I’m just excited to get back on the court and see what we can do this year,” White said via the Hobart Mercury.

“It’s probably the longest I’ve gone without playing basketball. My last game would have been State League with Penguin [late last year], before that would have been NWBU with Penguin back in February.

“I’m just itching to get out there, after such a long time off actual game play you kind of lose a bit of touch and some of those muscles that don’t ever get used except on a basketball court get a bit sore.

“I’ve been just trying to keep myself in shape so when the time comes actually get back on the court I’m more prepared.”
