Giants' 2021 season New Zealand recruit Dion Collins has re-signed with the Goldfields club for the 2022 NBL1 season.
Collins, a 203cm forward/centre has played professionally previously in Sweden for the Lulea Steelers where he averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds prior to the Covid-19 shutdown back in 2020 and also two seasons of college basketball in the US for the Culver-Stockton Wildcats.
He was recruited to Kalgoorlie in late 2020 for the inaugural 2021 NBL1 West season and returns to the Giants for his second season in Australia.
In 2021, he played all 20 games, where he averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds per game in just 20 minutes court time.
A strong, high energy player, he attacks the basket at both ends of the court and is a great passer of the basketball.
